Modali Platform Architecture & Site Organization

A Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive (MECE) Structural Framework

This document defines the structural engineering, functional taxonomy, and page organization of the Modali platform. It articulates the separation between the unauthenticated Public Presentation Frontend and the 4 Dedicated Authenticated Dashboards, ensuring operational clarity for platform administrators, educational leaders, teachers, and learners.

1. The MECE Design Philosophy

Traditional educational software frequently collapses into a single cluttered interface where technical database tasks, institutional compliance, classroom lesson design, and student learning are entangled. Modali solves this through strict MECE (Mutually Exclusive, Collectively Exhaustive) partitioning.

Mutually Exclusive (ME)

No dashboard duplicates or interferes with another. A Classroom Teacher never sees database schema migrations or FTP sync buttons; a Student never sees peer cohort data; a School Administrator focuses on school-wide aggregation rather than manual class rostering.

Collectively Exhaustive (CE)

Every operational necessity across the educational lifecycle is fully accounted for: public visitor exploration, platform devops, institutional accreditation evidence, homeroom grouping, and learner self-advocacy.

4. Two-Tier Navigation Bar Architecture (Option A)

To keep the interface clean while supporting enterprise educational operations, Modali implements a dual-tier navigation system:

Tier 1: Global Brand & Session Header (Purple Bar) Sticky 56px

Always visible at the top of every page. Contains the brand identity, dynamic role context badge, Framework & Docs dropdown (accessing all 10 pedagogical guides), About Us, Contact Us, Take Diagnostic CTA, and the user profile / Superadmin master view switcher.

Tier 2: Enterprise Command Bar (White Bar) Role-Adaptive

Renders exclusively for authenticated staff (superadmin, admin, teacher). Dynamically filters its tabs:

For Superadmin: Backend, School Admin, Classes, Question Bank, Matrix, Grouping, PLC
For School Admin: School Admin, Cohorts, Question Bank, Matrix, Grouping, PLC
For Teacher: Overview, Classes & Groups, Matrix (App. A), Grouping & DI
Data Architecture

5. The 9 Core Relational Tables

The database schema is engineered for strict referential integrity and zero synchronization drift between Local Development (psy_dia01) and Live Production (ixzizote_mod01).

1. users 25 rows

Google SSO identities, roles (superadmin, admin, teacher, student), approval status.

2. students 36 rows

Learner demographics, student IDs, grade level, school affiliation, and birth records.

3. classes 11 rows

Class cohorts, subject, teacher ID, grade level, and unique invitation join codes (MOD-...).

4. class_students 18 rows

Junction table managing student enrollment into teacher classes.

5. questions 100 rows

Calibrated psychometric items covering the 8 Developmental Pillars and 13 Subscales.

6. test_presets 6 rows

Grade-level diagnostic configurations (Kindergarten, Primary, Junior, Senior).

7. assessments 15 rows

Computed assessment results, raw answers JSON, pillar scores, and radar coordinates.

8. interventions 3 rows

Classroom-level tiered accommodations assigned from the 62-item UDL catalog.

9. referrals 1 row

Tier 2/3 multidisciplinary Professional Learning Community (PLC) referral logs.

Security & Infrastructure

6. Security, Authentication & Deployment Pipeline

How Modali maintains enterprise-grade security and automated continuous deployment:

ModSecurity-Immune Google SSO

Integrated with Google Identity Services (GSI) using client-side JWT tokens and tokenized OAuth states to eliminate 406 Not Acceptable ModSecurity web application firewall false positives.

Superadmin Governance

Superadmin privileges are hard-coded to maa001@gmail.com. Teacher and Administrator accounts require approval before entering protected workspaces, while students enjoy instant enrollment.

1-Click Full Stack Deployment

The CLI deployment engine (deploy_all_cli.php) serializes the codebase into an optimized zip archive, pushes via passive FTP, extracts via a secure tokenized bridge, and synchronizes the MySQL database in under 15 seconds.
